   Salesmen versus Designer…Why would you trust a salesman to design your patio cover? It’s actually less expensive avoiding salesmen, here’s why. 1) Salesman sell you what’s best for them like commissions, not what’s best for you the customer, salesmen are usually not up to date on the latest designs, colors, color combinations, selections of options. Salesmen typically have never built a patio cover on their own, they can have a problem communicating to the customer’s specific details regarding the completed structure. There are allot of techniques used to overcome obstacles or attachment to the house problems that if properly figured can make a huge impact on the overall look of your patio structure. Problems occur when your sales order is translated into a production order and then from production to installation. Watch out for companies that sell more than one product. Showing you one product in the home and then installing a different product is another risk dealing with salesman. It’s very common for the customer to never really know which product they actually end up having installed. How do you identify what product you get? Beware of products that have the GOOD, BETTER & BEST line up. Again which do you really end up with, you just can’t tell.
